The Chicago Sun-Times and WBEZ voter guide was a company-wide initiative that touched nearly every department of the newsroom. As Director of Digital Operations and head of our visuals team, my lead photographer and I produced on-camera interviews and portraits of all nine mayoral candidates in just 10 days...all on-location.
It was a challenging lift with such a short turn-around, but the portraits by Ashlee Rezin were used in all aspects of print and digital coverage, the videos added life to our questionnaire, and the clips derived from them increased our social engagement throughout the election season. Broad Street Brokers, LLC serves northern Wisconsin's Bayfield, Ashland and Sawyer County. Brian Ernst was commissioned to produce this profile which includes interviews and lots of drone work in some of the most photogenic areas of the state.
The Sun-Times in partnership with Choose Chicago developed a campaign regarding Chicago's reopening plan with the slogan, "Back In Action!" Along with several print pieces, we were comissioned to produce a series of videos highlighting the many activities Chicago is known for.
